Our daily rhythm

While each day follows the same basic structure, we like to leave room for spontaneity.  We organize daily activities around larger themes such as the changing seasons, and take care to plan them around the children's developmental stages and individual interests.  The process is as important as the goal, for example, we may take time to investigate an interesting discovery on our way to the park, and chores like tidying up or preparing for lunch can be fun activities in and of themselves.  Independence as well as interdependence is encouraged, and we help children of all ages master new skills so that they can take pride in helping themselves and their friends, and in contributing to the group.
